An integral member of the Baajaa Gaajaa team, Jayshree Shahade has coordinated the festival since its inception in 2009. She heads Saakshi Events, an event management company based in Pune.

Ever since its inception in the year 1998, Saakshi Events has been actively involved in creating spaces for the performing arts like theatre, classical music and folk art, where communication between the artistes and audience is instant and live.

Saakshi has launched events specially created for children, which contain wholesome recreation and help them get acquainted with theatre and performing arts. Saakshi also organized corporate conferences and seminars.

Jayshree Shahade started her career in 1974 with Alfa Laval (India), a reputed Swedish multinational, based in Pune. She was Executive Assistant in Managing Director’s Office till March 1998. She was responsible for handling the Administration for the Sales and Marketing office, and for arranging seminars, training programs and conferences. She coordinated and supervised visits of important foreign guests and customers and looked after press conferences, Board Meetings and interaction with Media and Advertising Agencies. She was also responsible for handling International travel for the Company.

Jayshree Shahade has a Bachelors degree in Arts from the Pune University and holds many diplomas in Public Relations & Human Relations, Travel & Tourism Management, and Marketing Management.
